Founder Director

Darshan has grossed over 23 years in the sports industry as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and a Sports Trainer. He has trained many national and international athletes of various sporting genres. and resurrected many careers from injuries as well. ADOPT Sports has been his pet project in the making since many years. Working at the grassroots, he feels it has only increased in relevance today, and will be a big step in changing the Indian Sporting scenario.

Abhijeet Kulkarni

Mentor

Abhijit is a seasoned journalist with a career spanning 2 decades - 17 years of which were specifically as a sports journalist. This passion stemmed from being a young footballer himself and experiencing the on-ground realities of improper guidance and lack of knowledge. He wishes to correct the wrong himself by taking up the important task of mentoring young athletes and helping them traverse their sporting career more efficiently.

Ashwini Godse

Educational Consultant

Ashwini is an Early Childhood Development expert, holding more than 20 years of experience in designing and executing 'Early Childhood Education' curriculum at various schools and organisations. She is actualising the marriage between principles of constructivism and performance in sports at ADOPT. Using her keen sense of community understanding, she is also working on community development through sports.

Dr. Nilesh Kamat

Sports Orthopaedic Surgeon

Dr. Kamat is a well-known Sports Orthopaedic Surgeon, having helped many athletes get back in the game after career-threatening injuries.

Dr. Anand Gangwal

Sports and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist

Dr. Gangwal has over 15 years of experience in Sports Injury rehabilitation and has helped numerous athletes continue their sporting careers through injuries.

Mr. Dhananjay Bapat

Mr. Bapat is the Founder Director of the Equatorial Group of Companies in Pune and has previously engaged with many notable companies like Thermax Ltd., Tata Exports and Bharat Forge in various high-level management capacities. Being an Engineer to begin with, he went on to be one of the earliest management professionals in the sector. He has gathered enviable experience and expertise and now also teaches at esteemed institutes like Symbiosis Institute of Management and IMDR among others.

Apart from this, he is passionate about sports and has himself played Cricket and Softball for many years! This unique mix of management and marketing knowledge, coupled with his raw passion for sports has been an invaluable resource to us.
